Activity Building at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center

The extended community surrounding the Mountain Park residential node (at Rockbridge & Five Forks Trickum), including the entire Parkview School District, has just begun to organize as “The Mountain Park Community”. This is a new organization working to strengthen local involvement in the development, improvement and safety of our little corner of Gwinnett County. Our initial meeting was held in November, 2019 to begin a dialogue as to how to insure our area retains its charm and continues to grow as a safe & desirable place to live. We held our inaugural meeting at the Activity Building at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center with Commissioner Ben Ku. Now we are putting together an agenda for future meetings that will be informative, as well as beneficial to the residents of our community.
Transportation
issues where a major topic brought up in the November meeting, so Alan Chapman, the director of the Department of Transportation for Gwinnett County, will speak about plans and projects affecting our little corner of Gwinnett County. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions & bring up issues regarding streets, traffic, sidewalks, roundabouts, and more. Commissioner Ben Ku will also be there to participate in the discussion.
This is a Public Meeting open to everyone, regardless of zip code or County of residence.
If you live in the Parkview school district, use the County Parks or Library, swim at the Mountain Park Pool, worship at any one of the many churches in the surrounding area, see a doctor, frequent the restaurants and shops, work or do business of any kind in the area; then you are a member of the Mountain Park Community and have a stake in its future.
